K-2 a musical duo from Cape Town, South Africa who consists of two brothers Keenan (25) and Keanu Adams(23). Their love for music started as far back as they could remember. Growing up in a musical family steered the love for music. From a young age, because of their parents, they started singing in choirs and at concerts which formed the love for performing. Besides singing and rapping, K-2 was blessed with the gift of dancing. They grew up watching Michael Jackson and was heavily influenced by his way of dancing and his stage presence. A few years later they were introduced to Usher by their cousin and changed their whole style of dancing and engaging with the audience. After Usher, Chris Brown became their biggest influence to date: from the way that they sang, danced and dressed. With writing and recording their own music they developed their unique sound which consists of RnB, Hip-Hop, Pop, Afropop and soul. K-2 also entered and won many competitions: from school talent shows to singing competitions. This made them realize the gift that they had which further motivated them to work on their craft. They also have a love for sports and excelled in Football, Rugby and Cricket. Keenan captained his school Football and Rugby teams which taught him leadership skills and how to persevere when the odds are against him. He also went on to play for Football clubs like Santos, Vasco, Ruyterwagcht Fc and Westend Fc. The brothers love being active. Which gave them a level of competitiveness and confidence needed to achieve anything they set out to accomplish.
Riccardo Angelo Mouton known professionally as Slick, is a South African rapper and song writer born in a small town in the North West province called Mafikeng (Maftown). Slick always knew that he had a passion for music and would always listen to a variety of music as he was growing up but took more of a liking to hip hop which had the biggest influence on his life. In 2014 he then decided to go and study music engineering and production and that was when he discovered that he actually had a gift for writing music and rapping and so he dropped out of college after the first year and spent the next 10 years perfecting his skills as a rapper whilst running a small business from home with his family. In 2024 Slick decided that it was time for him to put his skills to the test and sent a very basic recording from his phone to his aunt who had just started a recording label called Sleek Productions and so they asked him to come to see how good he actually was and now the best is still to come.
